Anyway; some may say these are a little dark but you need to go and watch some Ingmar Bergman films first then come back and look at these again. Those that have seen films such as Smultronstället-Wild Strawberries or the Seventh seal, both directed by Bergman, will understand what I was trying to achieve. There is a scene in Wild strawberries when, on a summers eve, after a few drinks outside the cabin  the friends depart to pull in the herring nets and the way that this scene is shot makes it seem as though it was the middle of the night. Anyone who has been to Sweden at mid summer will tell you that it never gets truly dark but Bergman has intentionally shot this scene as night for day. resulting in a deep black in the scene to compliment the despair and emptiness of the main protagonist.
